Question 1

Can I check my MEPCO bill with just my CNIC?

Accepted Answer

Not directly. You can use the CNIC search on MEPCO's official website to find your reference number, then use that number to open your bill. The bill itself is always looked up by reference number or consumer ID.

Question 2

Where is the reference number on the bill?

Accepted Answer

It's the 14-digit number in the consumer detail box near the top of the bill. On the newer bill layout it's the first entry in that box, with the 10-digit consumer ID just below it.

Question 3

Can I get my bill by SMS?

Accepted Answer

Yes, once you know your reference number. Text PITC, a space, then your 14-digit reference number to 8334 for your current bill. To get automatic monthly alerts, register your number by sending your reference number to 8118.

Question 4

How do I know if my bill is already paid?

Accepted Answer

Open your bill and check the 12-month history table, which lists the payment received each month. You can also confirm a recent payment in the bank or wallet app you paid with.
