How to Check Your MEPCO Bill Online, by SMS, or as a Duplicate Copy

You don’t need to wait for the paper bill or stand in a queue to see your MEPCO bill. With your 14-digit reference number, you can view, download, and print it from home in under a minute. This guide covers the ways to check your bill online, by SMS, and how to get a duplicate copy.

How to check your electricity bill online

Check Your MEPCO Bill Online

The quickest way is right here. All you need is the reference number from any old bill, since it stays the same each month.

  • Enter your 14-digit reference number, without spaces or dashes, in the box on our MEPCO bill check page.
  • Your latest bill opens on PITC’s official bill website.
  • To save it, press Ctrl+P on a computer and choose “Save as PDF”, or use your browser’s print or share option on a phone.

You can’t look up a bill with your CNIC or name; it has to be the reference number or the 10-digit consumer ID. If the bill doesn’t appear, check you entered exactly 14 digits. The official system is sometimes down for maintenance, so if it won’t load, wait a little and try again.

Check Your Bill by SMS

No internet? You can get your bill details by SMS, which works on any phone. Standard SMS charges apply.

  • For your current bill: text PITC, a space, then your 14-digit reference number, and send it to 8334. You’ll get the amount and due date back by SMS.
  • For automatic monthly alerts: register your number by sending your reference number to 8118. After that, your bill details arrive by SMS each month without you having to check.

Get a Duplicate Bill Copy

A duplicate bill is simply your bill saved or printed from the official website, and it’s accepted for payment. Open your bill using the steps above, then save it as a PDF or print it. Banks, post offices, and wallet shops accept this printed copy, so you don’t need the original paper bill to pay.

Check Whether Your Bill Is Paid

Every bill has a history table showing the amount and the payment received for each of the last 12 months. A payment appears on the bill issued after you pay. If a month shows 0 under payment even though you paid, keep your receipt and, if it hasn’t updated after 24 to 48 hours, take it to your sub-division office.

Ready to Pay?

Once you’ve checked your bill, you can pay it online through a bank app, a mobile wallet like Easypaisa or JazzCash, or by scanning the QR code on a newer bill. For the full step-by-step on each method, see our MEPCO bill payment guide. Pay before the due date to avoid the late payment surcharge.
