Mepco Tariff Distribution Structure

For the latest MEPCO unit rates, we update the MEPCO Teriff in detail for the electricity connections of all types. In the following tables, we’ll cover the applicable and variable tariff charges according to the connection type.

A-1. General Supply Tariff Residential

The Authority has decided that residential consumers will receive benefits from only one previous slab. Under tariff A-1, there will be a minimum monthly customer charge at the following rates, even if no energy is consumed.

Consumers will be subject to a minimum monthly charge of Rs.2000, regardless of their energy consumption, under this tariff.  And, consumers with a sanctioned load of less than 5 kW have the option to choose TOU metering.

For the E-1(i&ii) categories, consumers must pay a minimum of Rs.50/- per day or a minimum of Rs.500/- for the entire supply period, if no energy is consumed.

The relevant industrial tariff will be increased by 125%. Tariff consumers will have the option to convert to the Regular Tariff and vice versa. This option can be exercised at the time of a new connection or the beginning of the season, and once exercised, it will remain in force for at least one year.  

Tariff G includes a minimum monthly charge of Rs.500/- per month for each kW of lamp capacity installed.
